Vaidya Mahesh Sabade

Treating Obesity at the Source - Obesity:
Shifting Focus from Calories and Stimulants to Agni to End the Cycle of False Hunger and Over Nourishment

Presented by Vaidya Mahesh Sabade

While Western medicine understands the need for disciplined eating and consistent exercise to reverse obesity, Ayurveda complements this effectively with its in-depth knowledge of the qualities of foods and effective lifestyles, and its powerful yogic practices for the body, mind and spirit that help uproot the physical, mental and emotional causes of obesity for sustainable, long term results. Obesity keeps us from living our dreams and keeps us disconnected from our healthy self within. Leaping beyond mainstream prescriptions for burning calories, Ayurveda opens dimensions of powerful, long term weight loss via two forms of tapas or austerity: firstly burning excess fat in the body by first burning the aam or pathological metabolites / toxins that perpetuate the cycle of false hunger and over nourishment, and secondly, learning to discipline the tongue and uproot cravings from the mind. Benefit from this amazing talk on the Ayurvedic path to weiht loss.
